Yeah...TV premier week!!!

Finally! There is an end to mindless re-runs and (in my opinion) stupid reality-based game shows!!! At least for a few weeks. Network TV has their big premier week this week and while catching a few moments of TV time (at least during an entire show) are few and far between in our crazy house - I can say that I'm looking forward to this week - especially Thursdays where dinner will be ready early, no 'real' work will be done and phones will go unanswered pretty much from 7-10p.m. The rest of the week, I'll multi-task and try to catch moment of such shows as "How I Met Your Mother" - on tonight by the way - not a top favorite, but when there's nothing else, makes for good background noise.

I think tonights episode has Mandy Moore and some other famous person - I'm thinking Enrique...could be wrong on that one - see already multi-tasking and only getting 1/2 of things!

Of course always favorite - and my husband will attest to this - I can watch reruns of any version of Law & Order multiple times - unless I just saw it the day before of course... the SVU season premier is tomorrow night at 9, hoping Kallie will be tucked nicely in bed asleep by that time. Hoping - doubtful, but hopeful at least. Shawn will probably be on his way home from the last regular season softball game - WHOO HOO!!!! Go Ike! (Sorry to my brother and sister-in-law who teach at Altus)....

Wednesday I'm afraid will pretty much be a 'work night' as far as I can tell - can't find just anything in the line up that's a 'must watch' which is probably a good thing since my 'to do' list is now over two pages long!!! (And yet here I am procrastinating here - but with good reason - forgot the power supply cord to the laptop today so that made it hard to multi-task on multiple computers).

But...THURSDAY.....

I'd say all the women in my family are addicted to Grey! How could you not be. I have to admit that I traded in ER when it just started getting strange and none of the original cast that I fell in love with years ago are there anymore...I even will watch 'Ugly Betty' which I have to say Shawn has started to like, after much protesting - the ABC Thursday line up has my attention.

That pretty much wraps it up for actual 'watching' TV around our house. Friday - Sunday's are spent on weddings and senior sessions and trying to get a little ahead of the game. Laundry is a bigger priority typically - except for this weekend where I think we went NON STOP! I think I was so tired when I finally went to bed last night that Shawn told me this morning he caught me sleep walking! Now that means I'm tired!

As far as that - that's about all the TV we'll 'actually' watch unless Sponge Bob or Rachel Ray are on. Kallie and I did get addicted over the summer to watching 'Ace of Cakes' on the Food Network with Duff - the 'cake show' as Kallie calls it on the 'yummy channel' - can't beat a deal like that! I'm mezmorized at the talent that group has - wow! They inspire me to...well...at least WANT to decorate a cake, but I certainly know my limits when I see them! I'll just be content to take photographs of such tasty marvels!

Just as a reminder though - we typically don't answer our business phone after 5 p.m. - leave us a message and we'll call you back the next day. We have to make sure that we make enough time for our family, which again, is our biggest priority 100% of the time. Right now however, our schedule has been CRAZY busy - not sure how or even when that happened, but we've been pulled out away from the phone and emails at strange and long times here the last week - if you've left us an email or phone message, we promise you're on our list, but the human person can only multi-task so much without completely losing it. Like I mentioned, my immediate 'to do' list is now over 2 pages in length and many of those items have 'sub items' listed in them.

Garretts Senior Session

Today was a busy one for us with multiple sessions back to back - but we ended with a senior session with Garrett and his most adorable dog Shooter! Garrett is a fun loving guy who'll graduate from Chatty this year. Garrett and his mom were a joy to be around this afternoon! Best of wishes to you this year!! Go Pokes!

Brittney & Jodi

Yesterday we shot a double senior session for BFF's Brittney & Jodi. These two young women were a joy to shoot - Brittney & Jodi both go to school at Ike and tell me that they've been best friends since "nearly birth" or second grade...something along that lines. Here is a quick sample of there session yesterday. Good luck to both of you during your senior year!

And I believe I've created a slight photography monster...just check out this 4-year old posing!! I finally had enough time to photography my own child last night for her fourth birtday pictures. I was wanting soemthing that was all about 'her'. She picked the outfit and most of the poses! It is a true expression of her when she's in her own element!! I"m so proud!

Nicole & Justin's Wedding

Last night we had the chance to photograph Nicole and Justin's wedding. They were married at the Duncan Golf and Country Club and had a beautiful cake provided by The Sugarplum Shoppe in Marlow. They were a picture perfect couple who not only kept ME laughing, but everyone around them all night. They were an incredible couple to photograph and their entire wedding party was a joy to work with. It was so touching to watch them look at each other and just see exactly how much love they have for one another. Mark and Penny, Nicole's parents were great and the love they showed their daughter and her new hubby last night was a great gesture of what love truly is. Here are a few of our favorite shots from last night. Have a great time in Jamaica!!!

This picture of her dad hamming it up at the house just pretty much set the tone for the rest of the day! What a dad, huh!

Nicole pretty much had this type of expression in one form or another all night long. Just the perfect bride - happy, carefree and just rolling with the day!

Justin and Nicole opted to see each other before the ceremony which enabled us to get all of their pictures done before their guests arrived - getting them to their party faster! We set this up where the only people in the room were the two of them and well, me. We made it very special allowing them to have some time to each other before their day started.
Aren't the the cutest!

We lucked out and caught just the perferct light from the sunset tonight!

There should be an age limit...

Okay- I think I discovered yesterday during my daughter's birthday party I'm 'officially' old. Or at least too old to play on a moon bounce! I had NO idea how those things could tire you out! And now, today, my body is cracking and popping and my back hurts so bad from playing forever on that thing during the birthday party. We had a great time with lots of friends and family! But how could ANYONE resist this sort of fun?? I was still bouncing when I went to bed last night! It was a blast though! Painful today, but great fun yesterday!

You have no idea how hard it is to focus on a bouncing subject while you, yourself are bouncing!!! (Especially when you're as graceful as I am and can hurt myself walking on a flat, non-bouncing, smooth surface!)

Now that is the look of pure happiness!

What the cake looked like BEFORE 30 cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents and neighbors hacked into it!

At the end of the day - all that was left was a extra large piece of cake - which Kallie claimed as HER'S! (She only licked the icing off!)

My baby girl...how time flys

This weekend, my baby girl is turning four!!! I can hardly believe it! I surely doesn't seem like nearly four years ago when I had gone to a baby shower - not expecting her to arrive for over three more weeks - when I got a little nervous because she didn't move. I will always remember how I didn't want to scare Shawn and called in sick to work so that I could ease my mind and go see the doctor. I remember how Dr. Monty didn't want to alarm me, but recommend I get to the hospital. I drove myself to Southwestern. Waited about an hour when I heard the nurse outside my room discuss induction. I knew then...she was coming! I called Shawn at school - just hours before he was supposed to leave for Altus for a softball game. Told him he might want to find someone else to coach third base. He did. Of course neither of us knew that it would be another nearly 20 hours before Kallie finally made her debut. After an emergency C-section and hours of painful labor - she showed up at 6:14 a.m. And life has never been the same! And I couldn't imagine it any different and would never want to!! Now we prepare for her Little Mermaid this weekend...four years old - going on at least fourteen!!

Taken this past weekend after she found some of the decorations for her birthday party on the 9th. Hanging from the kitchen table almost a week now!!

Her first car....not thinking she'll accept this in about 12 years....

Her first four-wheeler ride at her Neenee's and Pop's.

She and her daddy still fight over 'ice cones' and slurpees!

She ate these flowers after about the second picture

She got her first 'big girl' bed!!! (Never slept in it - still sneaks into our bed in the middle of the night!)

EJHS had a shower for us a few weeks after we brought her home!!

Chelsea's Bridals

Yesterday we photographed Chelsea for her bridal pictures. Chelsea and Terry will be married later this month. Not only is Chelsea a terrific young woman - but she's also one of our daughter's favorite pre-school teachers! Chelsea will be moving to Japan shortly after her wedding to be with her new husband, a cook for the US Army. Congratulations Chelsea - you make a beautiful bride! Here are a couple of our favorite shots from yesterday. Chelsea's only request was that she have portrait taken in front of Atomic Annie - a gun her grandfather was responsible for during WWII while in Germany.

Tiffany & Mike

Tonight we had the opportunity to photograph the wedding of Tiffany & Mike. A sweet couple that met about a year ago at Frontier City. They were married on Post at the New Post Chapel and had their reception at the Polo Club. The flowers for the wedding were provided by the Fort Sill Flower Shop and the cakes were by Johnson's Bakery. Denise, Tiffany's mom, did an outstanding job with mass quantities of food - enough for an entire army! Following their honeymoon to Disney World, the two will reside in Oklahoma City. Congratuations to both of you!

Suzy and Tommy

Last Saturday we photographed the wedding ceremony of Tommy & Suzy. There were married at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lawton. A family friend was kind enough to make the wedding cake and they had a host of friends and family helping them keep everything together! Congrats to you both!!
